DeLynn Kale Memorial Stickers

"In memory of long-time competitor DeLynn Kale, I'm making some stickers with the design pictured to place on vehicles for next season. I'm trying to figure out how many I'll need, they will be in the 3"x5"- 4"x6" range, and die cut around the oval shape. If you would like to place one, two or more on your vehicle next season, please e-mail me at b_jerew(at) or visit my website for more info at There will be a very small cost associated, but only to cover the production cost. Thanks, Brad Jerew, Wild Times Motorsports,"

NTPA Tech Services Update!

I've heard lots of rumor about the new Diesel FWD class, I heard that it was on the agenda to discuss the out lawing of a billet block. Can I or can't I use a billet block?

Yes, it was discussed, here is the ruling:

The Diesel FWD rules have their own rules starting on page 64 of the 2008 NTPA rulebook. which lists the rules that pertain to the diesel class. However, rule number 1 on page 64 states: All normal FWD rules apply with the following additions.

With that being said, the normal FWD rules that pertain to engines are listed on page 62:
letter D number
1. Vehicles are limited to a single automotive-type engine.
Automotive engine is any engine or its replica available in a passenger car. Maximum (8) cylinders. A replica to be considered legal must accept and swing a stock crankshaft.

With that stated, the answer is yes, you can run a billet or aftermarket block in the diesel FWD class as long as it will accept and swing a OEM crankshaft for the engine that it replaces.
