In 2008, the Monroe County Ag. Society purchased 20 acres of property located across from the Tomah Pull Grounds to be used as the camping area for the event. The purchase was necessary to utilize the space on the pull grounds to park pullers. "We weren't able to make many improvements before the 2008 event, due to the timing of the purchase," reported Mary Maas, Gen. Mgr. of the Tomah Pull. "However, for 2009, we will have a well in place for campers to fill up their water tanks as well as portable showers provided by Maui Shower." Campers will also have the option of being pumped out during the event. A shuttle will run between the grounds and the campground for those who do not wish to walk.

The Campground was completely excavated, leveled, re-seeded and sloped for drainage just after the 2008 event. We are hoping to have permanent power to at least part of the campground for 2009. The remaining sites will be powered by generators provided at the event. There are approximately 500 electric and non-electric sites available. For more information regarding the camping experience at Tomah, call the event office at (608... or visit www.tomahtractorpull.com.
