Recent News from the Indiana Truck Pullers Assoc.

Plans for the 2008 season began with the December committee meeting held at the Red Dog Steak House in North Salem. The committee decided to raise sanction fees (see below) and were introduced to rules needing attention and clarification.

ITPA was represented at the January Fair and Festival convention. New contacts were made and at least one (Bedford) has signed for a three class event on July 5^th.

With a few exceptions most organizations we attended in 2007 are expressing interest for 2008.

The Challenger sled has been sold to a group from the state of Maine so will not be a player in our 2008 season.

2008 Committee:

The ITPA committee for 2008 consists of: Rick Thomas, Dee Smith, Kent Sullivan, Alan Paige, Josh Buck, Rick Smith, Fred Shrum, Ric Scrimager, Terry Coppess, Shane Thomas, Dave Dorsett, Kyle Ort and Ben Brooks. Contact these individuals for any concerns you may have for the upcoming season. The next meeting is scheduled for February 2^nd, 6:30 pm, Red Dog in North Salem.

New Sanction Fees for 2008

At the last committee meeting your board decided to raise sanction fees to $3600 for a full ITPA event. Individual classes will cost the host facility $900 per class. This was done in an effort to help offset the cost of rising fuel prices and increased expenses experienced for competitors traveling to sanctioned events. Sponsorship:

Sponsorship will be the same in 2008 ($20 allotted for $50 sold until memberships are paid). New forms are available on the sponsor page, so print these forms and use them when turning in your sponsors.
