Lorain County Fair in Wellington, Ohio

Signs with the NTPA for 2008

Worthington, OH – The National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) is pleased to announce the signing of a sanction agreement with the Lorain County Fair truck and tractor pull in Wellington, Ohio as an NTPA Grand National event in 2008.
Previously sanctioned by the Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association (OSTPA), the Lorain County Fair has a long-standing reputation as one of the premier pulls in the state of Ohio. Much of that success is due to the dedicated fair personnel who contribute a great deal of time and effort to the pull each year.
Event chairman, Fred Pitts, said Jim Miller’s recent decision to work as Event Producer exclusively at NTPA events played a role in the decision to switch from OSTPA to NTPA, and that the decision was reached by his entire committee. Pitts looks forward to new opportunities and advantages resulting from the NTPA national sanctioned event in 2008.
“Sanctioning the Lorain County Fair as an NTPA national event proves the strength and reliability promoters see in the NTPA,” said David P. Schreier, WPI President/CEO. “We will work closely with Fred and the entire event staff to ensure that their decision to sanction with us will lead to continued success with their pull. The Lorain County Fair provides a fantastic venue for pullers and fans and we are proud to have it on our 2008 calendar.”

The 2008 Lorain County Fair will be held August 18-24. The tractor pull is on Friday, August 22 at 6 p.m.
