The Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series (BOB Series) is proud to announce the addition of a new region. In 2010, the BOB Series will be sanctioning events in Indiana. “There is a real need for sanctioned pulling in Southern Indiana, and the BOB Series will be involved with several events in 2010 in the Hoosier State.”, said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “As in Kentucky, Indiana has a long history of pulling and we are excited about our events that will take place in the Hoosier State in 2010.”, commented McConnell.

Illiana Pullers Rule Changes

The following changes have been made to Pro Farm Tractors:

Engine:
1) Each competing vehicle must have a working RPM pick up on their vehicle. The pick up will consist of a spec cord to be purchased from the IPA. The cord must be wired uninterrupted to the rear of the vehicle and is to be mounted on the back of the vehicle directly above the drawbar area. The cord must be visible from the point of pick up to the rear of the vehicle. The cord must run outside of transmission blanket and all sheet metal. The pick up MUST be in working order during competition. If a competitor’s pick up does not work at an event, a competitor may be hand tached immediately after leaving the track after a competitive pass. A competitor must be tached trackside. If a competing vehicle leaves the track area before being tached, the vehicle will be disqualified. Read More...

At Essex Junction, Vermont, this past summer, WPI President/CEO David P. Schreier had the pleasure of meeting Gary A. Morgan, the new president and CEO of Dixie Chopper.
The Champlain Valley Exposition's NTPA Grand National Event had a local Dixie Chopper sponsorship involvement, and Morgan happened to be there for the Labor Day event. Morgan was touring the eastern half of the U.S. in a grass roots effort to meet dealers and explain his vision for the company in the near future.

ITPA Awards Banquet

The 2009 Illinois Tractor Pulling Association's Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet was held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield, Illinois. Approximately 450 people were in atttendance to honor the 2009 ITPA sponsor, promoters, point winners, special award winners and their families. Over $80,000 in point fund checks, cash, Burrus seed corn, merchandise and door prizes were awarded. Dan Bartling (with help from Esdon) was the winner of the competing membership drawing "pass the envelope game". Congratulations to all ITPA point champions and special award winners.

Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Banquet

Midnight Motorsports has a big night in Springfield!

Saturday was a big night for Midnight Motorsports and the Nelson Family, when the Illinois Tractor Pulling Association got together for their annual banquet. After a successful season on their state circuit Jared and Jeremy were ready to get into their class meetings and onto the banquet.

The evening began with Jared being recognized as the 2009 ITPA 2wd Champion, and Jeremy getting recognized for his 2nd place finish. After the awards were presented for each class, it was time for the special awards to be presented. Midnight Motorsports was honored to be named the Modified Puller's of the Year, an honor they look forward to carrying into the 2010 season.

As the banquet wound down, a new award to the ITPA end of the season awards was announced, and that was the Pulling Family of the Year. As the presentation began the Nelson Family began to figure out that their family was the lucky winner of the annual award. The Dale Nelson Family was named the first ever ITPA Family of the Year, an achievement that was not expected at all but very appreciated.

Midnight Motorsports would like to thank all of those for their support in helping to make the 2009 season such a great success and hope to see you on the road in 2010.

1st Annual Bluegrass Super Pull Great Success at THE ARENA in Corbin, Kentucky

The 1st Annual Bluegrass Super Pull, presented by Corbin Motorsports, is now in the books and with over 300 hooks, the event was a great success. “We had over 230 entries, from 11 states represented, with 12 classes being pulled, and the event went wonderful.”, said BOB Series CEO Tom McConnell. “The building is one of the best in the country for pulling and we look forward to the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull next year in Corbin.”, commented McConnell.
